A match of Sico 4055-53 Digitalis is a muted, medium-deep mauve-plum with a cool berry undertone and a soft gray cast. It sits in a subdued red-violet range rather than reading as a bright purple, and the depth keeps it closer to an accent tone than a light trim color.
MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to the selected Sico color can be used on speaker grilles, vent covers, switch plates, brackets, metal frames, mailboxes, shelving supports, and furniture hardware when a restrained red-violet finish is needed. It can also be used on PVC fittings, display parts, or other removable components that need to coordinate across mixed materials without calling attention to the substrate.
Because the color is muted but fairly deep, finish and surface condition can change how it reads: gloss can make the plum note feel stronger, while matte or satin can soften the color further. On smooth parts, scratches, sanding marks, or patchy prep may be more noticeable than in a lighter color, and stronger color contrast under the coating may require additional coats for a more even result.

For MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to Sico 4055-53 Digitalis, dry-to-touch, recoat time, and full cure are different steps. Spray paint is typically dry to touch within minutes, can usually be recoated in 1 to 2 hours, and is fully cured in about 2 weeks.
If the part needs to be handled, assembled, or put back into service, wait longer than the dry-to-touch stage so the coating is not marred while it is still setting.
Primer may or may not be needed before applying a match of Sico 4055-53 Digitalis. The right choice depends on the substrate, the surface condition, and the product format you are using.
As a general rule, primer can improve adhesion and does not hurt the project, but it is not always required. Check the prep guidance for the specific MyPerfectColor product you plan to order, especially if you are painting a difficult surface or covering an uneven existing finish.
For a standard spray paint application, one can of MyPerfectColor spray paint matched to Sico 4055-53 Digitalis typically covers about 20 square feet with one coat.
Actual coverage depends on the surface size, texture, hiding power, application method, and how many coats are needed. If the project is large or the surface is rough or dark, plan for extra material or consider a different MyPerfectColor format for better quantity efficiency.
Even when the color match is correct, 4055-53 Digitalis can look different after application because lighting, placement, sheen, and nearby surfaces all affect how the finish reads. The same color can also appear different on different substrates or textures.
If the part will sit next to an existing painted surface, small differences in aging, gloss, or surface texture may be noticeable. The best expectation is that MyPerfectColor is matching the selected color reference, not recreating every effect of the original painted surface.
The SDS is tied to the MyPerfectColor paint product and chemistry, not to the color name alone. If you need the safety data for a specific MyPerfectColor product matched to Sico 4055-53 Digitalis, use the SDS for that product format.
