Use light, even coats of MyPerfectColor paint matched to Dulux Obsidian Glass 53016 and keep the can moving with a slight overlap on each pass. Heavy passes can puddle on edges, recesses, and small parts like vents, switch covers, brackets, hardware, or PVC pipe, which can lead to runs and uneven coverage.

Build the color gradually instead of trying to cover everything in one coat. Let each coat flash off before applying the next one so the film can level properly and the finished part keeps a clean, even appearance.

Choose the finish based on how the part will be used and how closely it needs to match the existing surface. Lower-sheen finishes reduce reflectivity, while higher-sheen finishes are usually easier to wipe clean and can make Obsidian Glass 53016 read a little different on the finished item.

If you are coating a cover, grille, rail, or other part that sits near an existing painted surface, try to match the existing sheen when possible. The color reference stays the same, but the finish changes how the result appears in real use.

Even when the match is correct, Obsidian Glass 53016 can look different after application because lighting, nearby surfaces, substrate texture, and sheen all affect how the color is perceived. A smooth plastic part can read differently from a rough metal bracket or a previously coated panel.

If the item will sit next to an older painted surface, aging and gloss differences can still be visible even when the color formula is correct. That is why the same matched color can look slightly different once it is installed.

Confirm Dulux Obsidian Glass 53016 from a physical swatch, original brand chip, or another known existing reference rather than relying on a screen image alone. MyPerfectColor matches the selected brand color reference, so the safest order is one where the target color has already been verified before checkout.

If you are matching an existing item, use the most reliable physical reference you have and avoid guessing from a photo. That reduces the risk of ordering the wrong color target.

MyPerfectColor offers custom spray paint matched to Dulux Obsidian Glass which enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish. It is difficult to gauge spray paint coverage because it depends on how you apply it and the amount of overspray, but generally the 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat.
