Use lower sheen if you want less reflection and more help hiding surface texture. Use higher sheen if the part will be cleaned often or needs a harder, more wipeable look. If you are matching an existing piece beside another painted item, keep in mind that sheen differences can make the color appear different even when the color formula is the same.

For a MyPerfectColor spray paint match of Porter Paints 1099 T, dry to touch is typically reached within minutes, recoating is usually possible in 1 to 2 hours, and full cure is about 2 weeks. Those are different milestones, so a coat can feel dry long before it is fully ready for heavy handling.

If you need to stack, package, or install the part, plan around the cure time rather than only the dry to touch time. Cooler temperatures, heavier coats, and poor ventilation can slow the process.
