Water-based housepaint, urethane, and epoxy can still be color-matched to CertainTeed Seagrass 493632, but they are better suited to separate parts, accessories, or broader repainting where a sheen-matched touch up is not the goal.

CertainTeed Seagrass 493632 is a factory color reference for CertainTeed siding material family products, so it is useful when you need a matched paint for siding, trim, soffit, fascia, or nearby accessories that must blend with that finish. MyPerfectColor can make a match of Seagrass for those paintable parts, but the correct format still depends on whether you are doing direct touch up or painting a separate component.

If the repair is on weathered, sun-exposed, or highly visible CertainTeed Seagrass siding, an existing part or factory sample may be a better reference than the catalog color alone. Seagrass 493632 is still the correct brand color reference, but the installed surface may have aged differently. Use the sample or part when the approval tolerance is tight, or when you want to reduce the risk of a mismatch on the finished repair.
