Coverage depends on the surface size, texture, hiding power, application method, and the number of coats required. A typical spray can covers about 20 square feet with one coat. Other paints typically cover between 400 and 600 square feet.

If the surface is rough, dark, or porous, plan on using more product than a smooth, light, easy-to-cover surface.

Clean the surface first, remove dirt and grease, and mask off any areas that should not be painted. Light scuffing can help on glossy or previously coated surfaces when that is appropriate for the material.

Before painting the full part, test the MyPerfectColor match of Sherwin Williams 49005 on the actual surface so you can confirm adhesion and appearance.

Plastics vary widely, so test the exact material first. MyPerfectColor spray paint sticks well to most plastics, but using the MyPerfectColor primer for Acrylic Enamel can improve adhesion on difficult surfaces.
