MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to Dulux Lignite is a very dark, muted brown with a warm undertone. The low LRV gives it a deep, subdued look that stays brown rather than reading as a clean black.
This color can be useful on vents, switch covers, return-air grilles, shelf brackets, railings, mailbox parts, cabinet hardware, and other small components where a low-key brown finish is needed. It also suits PVC trim pieces, speaker grilles, and accessory parts that need to coordinate with darker painted surfaces.
Because Lignite is dark and low in chroma, finish and substrate can change the final reading noticeably. A glossier finish may make it look deeper and can emphasize texture, while uneven prep or strong contrast from the base material may still show at edges or worn spots. For the most even result, the coating should be applied uniformly across the full piece.

Sheen is a separate ordering choice from the Dulux Lignite 46062 color match. Choose the finish based on how durable the item needs to be and how much reflectivity you want on the finished surface.
In general, higher sheen is easier to clean and usually shows more shine, while lower sheen reduces reflectivity. The same match of Dulux Lignite 46062 can look a little different at different sheen levels, so confirm the finish before you order.
Confirm Dulux Lignite 46062 from a physical swatch or a known existing Dulux color reference, not from a screen alone. MyPerfectColor matches to the original Dulux color standard, so the key step is making sure Lignite 46062 is the target you want before you place the order.
If you are trying to match an older painted item, use the original color reference rather than a weathered or aged surface, since the existing item may have changed over time.
Yes. MyPerfectColor can make a match of Dulux Lignite 46062 in custom spray paint for items such as trim details, fixtures, railings, vents, pipes, hardware, and accessories. Spray paint is often the practical choice when the part is small, awkward, removable, or hard to coat evenly with a brush.
For the best result, clean and prep the surface first, since surface condition can affect how the matched color covers and how it reads after application.
Safety Data Sheet information is tied to the MyPerfectColor product and chemistry, not to the Dulux Lignite 46062 color name by itself. For the current SDS, visit the MyPerfectColor Safety Data Sheets page here: https://www.myperfectcolor.com/Safety-Data-Sheets/33970.htm
Check the SDS for the exact format you are ordering before use.
Once a match of Dulux Lignite 46062 is applied, lighting, placement, sheen, and nearby surfaces can all change how it reads on the finished item. A correct color match can still appear different depending on whether it is viewed indoors, outdoors, in direct light, or next to other finished parts.
If the painted piece will sit beside an existing surface, make sure the target reference is the one you want before ordering, because the surrounding environment can influence how the color appears after it is installed.
MyPerfectColor has an original sample of the Dulux Lignite in its color archive. This enables us to make paint and verify that it matches the original.
Please note that if your material is not new then the paint may not work for touch up as your material has aged and is likely different than it was when new. MyPerfectColor offers custom spray paint matched to Dulux Lignite which enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish. It is difficult to gauge spray paint coverage because it depends on how you apply it and the amount of overspray, but generally the 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat.
MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. This paint sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.
While MyPerfectColor can provide paint matched to the Dulux Lignite, we don't provide any crossover information because this is a subjective determination. Every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, so determining which color is the best approximation is a judgement call.
However, under the color image on a color page there is a link that says "Explore Related Colors". Clicking this link displays colors with similar values and you can look for any colors from the company you want.
Keep in mind that this just shows similar colors based on the color values we have stored in our database. It doesn't mean it is the same or give any approximation about how close the color is. You can play around with the Hue, Lightness and Chroma sliders to expand the selection.
