If you are matching an existing part, compare the swatch to the item in the same lighting and remember that age, sheen, and substrate can affect how Ironside appears on the surface.

Coverage depends on the surface size, texture, how much the surface absorbs, the application method, and how many coats you need. A typical can of spray paint covers about 20 square feet with one coat. Other paints typically cover between 400 and 600 square feet.

For Dulux Ironside, plan around the actual part size and add extra if the surface is rough, dark, porous, or likely to need more than one coat for even coverage.

Choose the finish based on how the item will be used, how durable it needs to be, and how much reflectivity you want. Finish affects cleanup, wear resistance, and also how Dulux Ironside will read on the finished surface.

A flatter finish usually shows less reflection, while a glossier finish reflects more light and can make the same color look different on the part. If appearance matters on the final item, it is safer to match the finish to the application instead of picking it by color name alone.

Start by cleaning the surface, removing grease, and letting it dry fully. Light scuffing may help where appropriate, and masking is important if you need clean edges or want to protect adjacent areas.

If you are spraying Dulux Ironside onto PVC, metal, or a previously coated part, test on the actual surface first so you can confirm adhesion and appearance before doing the full project.

It is difficult to gauge spray paint coverage because it depends on how you apply it and the amount of overspray, but generally the 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat.

MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. This paint sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

Every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, so determining which color is the best approximation is a judgement call.
