MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to Dulux 26D Butter is a very light, warm yellow with a soft buttery cast. It reads pale rather than vivid, with low-to-moderate chroma and a gentle creamy undertone that keeps it from looking sharp or citron-like.
This color works well on smaller spray-painted parts where a light yellow needs to look clean and controlled. It can be used on switch plates, vent covers, speaker grilles, shelf brackets, frames, baskets, mailboxes, shutters, railings, and PVC trim pieces, as well as hardware and fixture details that need a pale yellow finish matched to the selected brand color.
Because 26D Butter is very light, darker substrates or uneven repair areas may show through more easily, so prep and base color can affect the result. The final appearance can also shift with finish, surface texture, and film build; additional coats may make the color read fuller and more even on porous or rough surfaces.

Plan coverage around the surface size, texture, and how many coats you expect to apply. A typical can of custom spray paint covers about 20 square feet with one coat, but real coverage can be lower on rough, porous, or highly absorbent surfaces.
If you are painting a larger item or a few matching parts, measure the area first and allow extra for overlap, edges, and second coats. Other MyPerfectColor paint formats typically cover about 400 to 600 square feet per gallon, but the right format depends on the part you are painting.
The SDS is tied to the MyPerfectColor product chemistry, not the Dulux 26D Butter color name by itself. If you need safety information, check the SDS for the exact MyPerfectColor product format you plan to order.
You can find the MyPerfectColor Safety Data Sheets here: MyPerfectColor Safety Data Sheets. If you compare different product types, review the SDS for each one because spray paint and other formats can have different chemistry.
Choose the sheen based on how the item will be used, cleaned, and handled. Lower sheen usually reduces reflectivity and can make surface flaws less obvious, while higher sheen is often easier to wipe down and can offer better durability.
Keep in mind that gloss level changes how a match of Dulux 26D Butter will look on the finished part. If the item will sit next to other coated pieces, try to match the sheen as closely as you can, not just the color.
Before you order a custom match of Dulux 26D Butter, confirm the brand reference, the MyPerfectColor product type, the sheen, and the quantity. Custom-made color matches should be chosen carefully because they are made to order.
It is best not to assume a custom order can be returned or refunded. Double-check the color code and the format you need so the paint you receive fits the project the first time.
Clean the surface first so dirt, grease, wax, and loose material do not interfere with adhesion. If the existing coating is glossy, scuff it before painting so the new finish has a better chance to bond.
For metal with rust, peeling paint, or other contamination, address those problems before applying a match of Dulux 26D Butter. The condition of the old coating, plus its gloss and texture, can affect how the finished color looks on the part.
MyPerfectColor has an original sample of the Dulux 26D Butter in its color archive. This enables us to make paint and verify that it matches the original.
Please note that if your material is not new then the paint may not work for touch up as your material has aged and is likely different than it was when new. While MyPerfectColor can provide paint matched to the Dulux 26D Butter, we don't provide any crossover information because this is a subjective determination. Every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, so determining which color is the best approximation is a judgement call.
However, under the color image on a color page there is a link that says "Explore Related Colors". Clicking this link displays colors with similar values and you can look for any colors from the company you want.
Keep in mind that this just shows similar colors based on the color values we have stored in our database. It doesn't mean it is the same or give any approximation about how close the color is. You can play around with the Hue, Lightness and Chroma sliders to expand the selection.
