Clean the surface first, then remove dust, oil, chalk, rust, and other contamination. If the existing coating is glossy, scuff it so the new coating can bond better. If the old coating is peeling, flaking, or otherwise failing, it should be corrected before you apply a new match of Dulux Luna (45364).

Gloss, texture, and the condition of the old coating can change how the finished color reads on the part. That matters on metal items like brackets, railings, vents, fixtures, and hardware, where the finish can show surface flaws more than a new substrate would.

Choose sheen based on how the item will be used, how much wear it will see, how easy you want cleanup to be, and how much reflectivity you want on the finished piece. Higher gloss is usually easier to wipe clean and looks more reflective. Lower sheen can be more forgiving on surface imperfections, but the matched color can read differently than it does in a glossier finish.

For parts like vents, switch covers, hardware, or removable fixtures, the sheen should match the practical demands of the item and the surrounding painted pieces, not just the color name alone.

Before ordering, confirm the brand color reference, the product format, the sheen, and the quantity. MyPerfectColor is supplying its own paint matched to Dulux Luna (45364), not the original Dulux paint, so the details you select determine whether the order fits your project.
