A match of Dulux Twilight Zone is a very dark blue-violet with a cool cast and a noticeable purple undertone. With an LRV of 3.77, it reads near-black in lower light, but the blue-violet character becomes clearer where the surface catches light. The color is deep and saturated without reading bright.
MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to Dulux Twilight Zone can be used on vents, switch covers, speaker grilles, brackets, shelf supports, mailbox hardware, railings, and PVC trim pieces where a dark blue-violet finish is needed on a small part. It also works well for furniture accents, camera housings, and other removable components made from metal, plastic, wood, or previously coated surfaces after proper prep.
Because this is a very dark, saturated color, finish and surface condition matter. Scratches, texture, and sheen differences can stand out more than they do in lighter colors, and the final look can shift as film build increases. On lighter or uneven substrates, an even primer and careful coverage can help prevent patchiness, especially on edges and molded details. For exterior use, expect the color to read differently in sun and shade, with the undertone becoming more or less visible depending on the light.

Choose the sheen based on how durable you need the finish to be and how much reflectivity you want on the finished item. A higher sheen is usually easier to wipe clean and can handle wear better, while a lower sheen shows less reflection. Keep in mind that the same match of Dulux Twilight Zone can look different once the sheen changes, so the final appearance is affected by finish as well as color.
If you are coating a small part, trim piece, fixture, or removable component, decide on the sheen first and then order the MyPerfectColor custom-matched paint in that finish. If the item will sit next to existing painted surfaces, the sheen choice can be just as important as the color match itself.
Use light, even coats and keep the can moving so the paint does not build up too heavily in one spot. Overlap each pass slightly and avoid heavy first coats, since that can cause runs, uneven sheen, or a muddy-looking build of Dulux Twilight Zone.
For the best result, apply several thin coats rather than trying to cover everything in one pass. This is especially important on small parts, hardware, vents, grilles, or other items where spray application is the main advantage of ordering a match of Dulux Twilight Zone.
Plastics vary a lot, so test Dulux Twilight Zone on the actual material before finishing the full part. MyPerfectColor spray paint sticks well to most plastics, but some surfaces still benefit from better prep and a primer to improve adhesion.
If the item is a plastic trim piece, cover, vent, grille, or other difficult substrate, use the MyPerfectColor primer for Acrylic Enamel to help the coating bond more reliably. For best results, clean the surface, make sure it is ready for paint, and confirm that the plastic accepts the coating before you commit to the full project.

Confirm Dulux Twilight Zone from a physical swatch or a known existing color reference from the original brand, not from how it looks on a screen. Screen color can shift with display settings, lighting, and device differences, so it is not a reliable approval method for ordering a match.
MyPerfectColor matches to the original brand color standard, so the key step is making sure Twilight Zone 44778 is the exact target you want before you place the order. That is especially important if the new coating will be compared directly against an existing painted surface.
MyPerfectColor has an original sample of the Dulux Twilight Zone in its color archive. This enables us to make paint and verify that it matches the original.
Please note that if your material is not new then the paint may not work for touch up as your material has aged and is likely different than it was when new. While MyPerfectColor can provide paint matched to the Dulux Twilight Zone, we don't provide any crossover information because this is a subjective determination. Every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, so determining which color is the best approximation is a judgement call.
However, under the color image on a color page there is a link that says "Explore Related Colors". Clicking this link displays colors with similar values and you can look for any colors from the company you want.
Keep in mind that this just shows similar colors based on the color values we have stored in our database. It doesn't mean it is the same or give any approximation about how close the color is. You can play around with the Hue, Lightness and Chroma sliders to expand the selection.
