For better results, clean the part thoroughly, remove any release agents or residues, and use the MyPerfectColor primer for improved adhesion when the plastic is difficult to coat. If the item is a low-energy plastic, a test spray on a hidden area is the safest way to confirm performance before finishing the whole piece.

The match is made to the selected 403D Stoneware color reference, but the finished item can still read differently after application. Lighting, sheen, the shape of the part, surface texture, and nearby materials can all change how the color appears once it is painted.

If 403D Stoneware will sit next to an existing painted surface, or if the project is highly visible, a test application on the actual item is the best way to judge the final appearance before you paint the full surface.

Coverage for 403D Stoneware depends on the surface size, texture, hiding power, application method, and the number of coats you need. For spray paint, a typical can covers about 20 square feet with one coat, but rough or porous surfaces can use more paint.

If you are coating trim, fixtures, pipe, or multiple small parts, plan for extra material so you do not run short mid-project. The safest approach is to estimate conservatively when the substrate is textured, dark, or uneven.

For 403D Stoneware in spray paint form, dry-to-touch, recoat, and full cure are different stages. Spray paint is typically dry to the touch within minutes, can usually be recoated in 1 to 2 hours, and is fully cured in about two weeks.

Handle the part lightly after it is dry to the touch, but avoid heavy use, stacking, or harsh handling until the coating has had time to cure fully.
