Match of Sherwin Williams™ HGSW2073 Nouveau Red *

Confirm HGSW2073 Nouveau Red from a physical swatch, a known existing painted part, or another trusted original brand reference, not from a screen alone. MyPerfectColor makes a custom-matched paint to the selected brand color reference, so the target color should be verified before you order.

If the new coating must sit next to an older painted surface, keep in mind that aging, sheen, and texture can make the result read differently even when the color match is correct.

Yes. A match of Sherwin Williams HGSW2073 Nouveau Red can be ordered as MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to the selected brand color for projects like baskets, frames, shelving, decor pieces, hardware, and other small parts.

This format is useful when the goal is to coordinate an object to a known color reference rather than repaint a large wall or full room. Make sure the item is cleaned and prepped for the material before spraying.

Use light, even coats and keep the spray pass consistent so the color builds gradually. Avoid heavy passes, which can cause runs, uneven sheen, or a darker, muddier build on the finished item.

It also helps to overlap each pass slightly and let each coat flash dry before adding the next one. Final appearance can change with surface texture, film build, and the number of coats used.

A typical can of spray paint covers about 20 square feet with one coat, but actual coverage depends on the size of the project, surface texture, hiding power, and how many coats you need.

For HGSW2073 Nouveau Red, plan for more material if you are coating a rough surface, a dark substrate, or a part that needs multiple coats for even coverage. If you are painting a larger area, use the actual square footage and coat count to estimate quantity before ordering.

Yes, MyPerfectColor spray paint matched to HGSW2073 Nouveau Red can be used on many plastic parts, but plastics vary widely and should be tested on the actual material first.

For better adhesion, use the MyPerfectColor primer on difficult plastic surfaces. That is especially important on low-energy plastics or parts that will be handled often, since surface prep can affect how well the finish holds.

While MyPerfectColor can provide paint matched to the Sherwin Williams HGSW2073 Nouveau Red, we don't provide any crossover information because this is a subjective determination. Every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, so determining which color is the best approximation is a judgement call.

However, under the color image on a color page there is a link that says "Explore Related Colors". Clicking this link displays colors with similar values and you can look for any colors from the company you want.

Keep in mind that this just shows similar colors based on the color values we have stored in our database. It doesn't mean it is the same or give any approximation about how close the color is. You can play around with the Hue, Lightness and Chroma sliders to expand the selection.
