Step 1: Select Paint Type / Application

A match of Behr BXC-77 Riviera Retreat is a light, muted beige with a warm peach-gold undertone. It reads softer than a clean tan and less yellow than a golden cream, with moderate depth and a restrained chroma that keeps it calm rather than bright.

MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to this color is useful for PVC trim pieces, vents, switch covers, mailbox parts, shutter hardware, railings, brackets, frames, shelving supports, speaker grilles, and other small components where a warm neutral needs to carry across metal, plastic, or previously coated surfaces. It also fits furniture accents or removable accessories when the goal is to coat a part cleanly and keep the finish consistent with a known paint reference.

Because the color is light and moderately muted, it usually covers more easily than vivid colors, but darker or uneven substrates can still show through if the film build is thin. Finish and surface texture can shift the way the warm undertone reads, and gloss levels may make surface defects or sheen differences more noticeable.

Frequently Asked Questions About Match of Behr™ BXC-77 Riviera Retreat *

How should I confirm the correct original color for BXC-77 Riviera Retreat before ordering MyPerfectColor paint?

Confirm BXC-77 Riviera Retreat from a physical swatch, color chip, or an existing item that already uses the original brand color reference. Screen colors can shift by device and lighting, so they are not a reliable ordering reference.

MyPerfectColor makes a custom match to the selected brand color reference, not the brand's original paint product. Verify the code and the exact color target before you order so you get a match of BXC-77 Riviera Retreat in the format you need.

How does finish affect how BXC-77 Riviera Retreat looks after MyPerfectColor applies the match?

Finish and sheen can change how BXC-77 Riviera Retreat reads on the finished item because reflectivity affects the way the color is seen. The same color match can look different on matte, satin, or glossier coatings.

When ordering MyPerfectColor custom-matched paint, choose the finish that fits the item and the application, not just the color name. The code BXC-77 Riviera Retreat identifies the color target, but the coating finish is a separate decision that can change the final look.

What spray application tips help BXC-77 Riviera Retreat go on more evenly in MyPerfectColor spray paint?

For BXC-77 Riviera Retreat, apply MyPerfectColor custom spray paint in light, even coats rather than one heavy pass. Keep the can moving, overlap each pass consistently, and avoid trying to cover in a single coat.

Heavy passes can cause runs, uneven sheen, and a muddy build that changes how the match looks. If you are coating a small part, fixture, or accessory, build coverage gradually so the color and finish develop more evenly.

Can BXC-77 Riviera Retreat be used on plastic parts, and what should I know before ordering MyPerfectColor spray paint?

Yes, MyPerfectColor spray paint matched to BXC-77 Riviera Retreat can be used on many plastic parts, but plastics vary a lot. Because of that, it is important to test on the actual material before committing to the full project.

For difficult or low-energy plastics, MyPerfectColor primer for acrylic enamel can help improve adhesion. The safest approach is to confirm the substrate, prepare it appropriately, and test the match and adhesion on the real part first.

What should I confirm before placing a custom order for BXC-77 Riviera Retreat?

Before ordering BXC-77 Riviera Retreat, confirm the color reference, the MyPerfectColor product format, the sheen, and the quantity you need. Custom-made color matches are made to your selection, so the order details matter.

MyPerfectColor custom color orders are not returnable or refundable, so it is important to verify that BXC-77 Riviera Retreat is the correct target before checkout. If the project needs a specific form such as spray paint, make sure you select that format before ordering.

The top quality paints these days tend to be self-priming over most surfaces, while paint at the mid to lower grade quality levels will need a separate primer. Most special situations such as bleeding type woods or difficult to adhere surfaces like plastic will often need a specialty primer. How do I convert Behr BXC-77 Riviera Retreat to a different color from another paint company?

While we can provide Behr BXC-77 Riviera Retreat in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another brand.

However, under the color image on a color page there is a link that says "Explore Colors". Clicking this link displays colors with similar values and you can look for any colors from the brand you want.

Keep in mind that this just shows similar colors based on the color values we have stored in our database. It doesn't mean it is the same or give any approximation about how close the color is. You can play around with the Hue, Lightness and Chroma sliders to expand the selection.
