A match of ICI Sonata is a muted, mid-depth rosy mauve with a warm pink base and a slight plum cast. The low chroma keeps it subdued rather than vivid, and the lower LRV gives it a more grounded, less airy appearance.
MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to the selected ICI color reference can be useful on small parts that need a quiet rose tone without reading bright. It fits items such as switch covers, vent grilles, speaker grilles, picture frames, shelf brackets, railings, mailboxes, decorative hardware, and painted baskets or accessories where spray application is practical and a consistent color matters.
Because the color is muted rather than saturated, it usually reads more evenly than a high-chroma shade, but finish and substrate still matter. Smooth metal and plastic often show the color more clearly, while rough, porous, or uneven surfaces can make it look slightly deeper or less clean. On lighter substrates, a uniform primer and full film build can help keep the tone even.

Coverage depends on the size of the item, the surface texture, the hiding power of the substrate, the application method, and how many coats you plan to apply. For spray paint, a typical can covers about 20 square feet with one coat. Other MyPerfectColor paint formats typically cover about 400 to 600 square feet per unit, depending on the product and surface.
If you are coating a small part, trim piece, vent, pipe, or accessory, plan by the actual surface area rather than the item name alone. If the surface is rough, porous, dark, or uneven, you may need more paint than a smooth surface would require.
For the best result, clean the surface first, remove grease or residue, and let it dry completely. Light scuffing is appropriate on some surfaces when adhesion needs help, and masking can protect adjacent areas that should not be painted.
It is also wise to test the MyPerfectColor match of ICI Sonata 345044 on the actual surface before painting the full item. That helps you confirm adhesion, coverage, and appearance on the material you are using.
Choose the finish based on how the item will be used and how much reflectivity you want. Lower-gloss finishes usually hide surface imperfections better, while higher-gloss finishes are easier to wipe clean and can look brighter on the finished item.
The gloss level also changes how a match of ICI Sonata 345044 reads after application. Even when the color match is correct, the same color can look different in matte, satin, semi-gloss, or gloss finishes, so select the finish that fits the surface and handling needs.
Dry-to-touch, recoating, and full cure are different stages. Spray paint is usually dry to touch within minutes, should be recoated in about 1 to 2 hours, and is fully cured in about two weeks.
If you are painting an item that will be handled, assembled, or installed soon after coating, plan around those milestones rather than assuming it is ready as soon as it feels dry. Light handling may be possible sooner than full cure, but curing time still matters for durability.
Once the MyPerfectColor match of ICI Sonata 345044 is applied, lighting, placement, sheen, and nearby surfaces can all change how it appears. That means the same color can read a little differently on a wall, pipe, vent, fixture, or removable part after installation.
If the item will sit beside an existing painted surface, be aware that aging, texture, and gloss differences can make the new coating look different even when the color match itself is correct. For that reason, it is best to evaluate the finish on the actual part under the lighting where it will be used.

While MyPerfectColor can provide paint matched to the ICI Sonata, we don't provide any crossover information because this is a subjective determination. Every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, so determining which color is the best approximation is a judgement call.
However, under the color image on a color page there is a link that says "Explore Related Colors". Clicking this link displays colors with similar values and you can look for any colors from the company you want.
Keep in mind that this just shows similar colors based on the color values we have stored in our database. It doesn't mean it is the same or give any approximation about how close the color is. You can play around with the Hue, Lightness and Chroma sliders to expand the selection.
