Coverage depends on the surface size, texture, how well the surface hides the old color, the application method, and how many coats you need. A typical can of spray paint covers about 20 square feet with one coat. Other MyPerfectColor paint formats usually cover about 400 to 600 square feet, depending on the product and surface.

If you are coating a small part such as trim, a vent, a fixture, or hardware, plan more carefully because edges, texture, and uneven surfaces can use more paint than a smooth panel. A match of ICI Prairie Light is a very light color, so darker or uneven substrates may need extra coats for even coverage.

Choose sheen based on the item, the amount of wear it will see, and how much reflectivity you want. A flatter finish usually reduces shine, while higher gloss levels are easier to clean and more reflective. The same Prairie Light color can look different as the sheen changes, even when the color match is correct.

Custom-made color matches are not returnable or refundable, so it is important to verify the details before checkout. This matters most when the color will be used on a visible part, a replacement component, or a matched set of items.

The Safety Data Sheet is tied to the MyPerfectColor product chemistry, not the Prairie Light color name alone. If you are ordering Prairie Light as a MyPerfectColor paint product, use the SDS for that exact product format.

For better adhesion and a more even result, clean the surface, remove grease or other contamination, and mask off areas you do not want coated. Light scuffing can help on some surfaces, but only when it is appropriate for the material and the existing coating.

It is also a good idea to test Prairie Light on the actual surface before doing the full project, especially on plastic, metal, or previously coated parts. That helps you check adhesion, hide, and how the color reads on that specific substrate.

MyPerfectColor offers custom spray paint matched to ICI Prairie Light which enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish. It is difficult to gauge spray paint coverage because it depends on how you apply it and the amount of overspray, but generally the 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat.

MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. This paint sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

While MyPerfectColor can provide paint matched to the ICI Prairie Light, we don't provide any crossover information because this is a subjective determination. Every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, so determining which color is the best approximation is a judgement call.
