Step 1: Select Paint Type / Application

A match of ICI Krimson Lake reads as a deep, muted blue-gray with low saturation and a cool undertone that leans slightly green. It is dark enough to feel grounded, but the color is not vivid; the gray cast keeps it quieter and more subdued than a clear blue.

MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to this color is useful on smaller parts where a restrained dark blue-gray is needed, such as HVAC vents, switch covers, speaker grilles, brackets, railings, mailbox hardware, shelf supports, and trim pieces. It can also work on PVC, fixtures, frames, and other removable components when the goal is to coordinate a part with an existing painted surface rather than leave it as a contrasting finish.

Because this is a dark color, surface prep and finish choice matter. On rough or uneven substrates, the color can read lighter or more variegated where the film builds differently, and sheen changes can make texture and edge detail more noticeable. On darker or similarly toned substrates, coverage is generally more straightforward, while lighter bases may still show through if the coat is thin. Proper priming and multiple light coats can help the final color read more evenly.

Frequently Asked Questions About Match of ICI™ Krimson Lake *

How much MyPerfectColor paint matched to ICI Krimson Lake 344603 do I need for my project?

Coverage depends on the surface size, texture, hiding power, application method, and how many coats you need. If you are ordering MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to ICI Krimson Lake 344603, a typical can covers about 20 square feet with one coat. For other MyPerfectColor paint formats, check the product coverage for that listing and plan for extra material if the surface is rough, porous, or a lighter base needs better hiding.

What surface prep should I do before using a match of ICI Krimson Lake 344603?

Before applying a match of ICI Krimson Lake 344603, clean the surface, remove grease or dirt, and lightly scuff it if that is appropriate for the material. Mask areas you do not want coated, and test the paint on the actual surface before painting the full item. This is especially important on plastic, metal, or previously coated parts where adhesion and appearance can change with the substrate.

Will the finish change how ICI Krimson Lake 344603 looks after I order a match?

Yes. Finish changes how light reflects off the coated item, so the same match of ICI Krimson Lake 344603 can look different in matte, satin, or gloss. The color reference stays the same, but sheen can affect how the final coating reads on the finished surface. Choose the finish that fits the item you are coating and the look you need on that object, not based on room styling.

How do I confirm ICI Krimson Lake 344603 is the right color before ordering?

Confirm ICI Krimson Lake 344603 from a physical swatch, an existing known color reference, or another reliable source from the original brand rather than from a screen alone. MyPerfectColor makes a custom match to the selected brand color reference, so the important step is making sure the target color is correct before you place the order. Screen viewing can vary by device and lighting, so it should not be the only approval step.

What should I know before ordering custom-made MyPerfectColor Krimson Lake 344603?

Custom-made color orders should be chosen carefully because the order is made to your selected reference and is not returnable or refundable. Before buying MyPerfectColor paint matched to ICI Krimson Lake 344603, confirm the color reference, the product type you need, the sheen, and the quantity. If you need spray paint for a small part, fixture, or accessory, make sure you select the spray format before checkout.
