Match of ICI™ Inchworm *

For spray paint matched to ICI Inchworm, expect dry-to-touch within minutes, recoating in about 1 to 2 hours, and full cure in about 2 weeks. Dry-to-touch, recoat, and full handling readiness are different stages, so do not assume a coat is fully cured just because it feels dry.

Choose the finish based on how the part will be used, cleaned, and viewed. A glossier finish is usually easier to wipe down and can look more reflective, while a flatter finish can reduce shine and help hide small surface flaws. The finish also changes how the matched ICI Inchworm color reads on the final item, so the best choice is the one that fits the application, not just the color name.

Even when the MyPerfectColor match to ICI Inchworm is correct, lighting, placement, sheen, substrate texture, and nearby surfaces can change how it reads after application. Daylight, indoor lighting, shade, and neighboring colors can make the same coating look slightly different on the finished part than it did on a swatch or screen.

This matters most when the painted item will sit next to an existing surface, because age, texture, and gloss differences can make the match appear closer or farther from the original reference.

Before applying a match of ICI Inchworm, clean the surface well, remove dust, grease, wax, and loose coating, and degrease if needed. Light scuffing can help on slick or glossy surfaces, but test first on the actual material and follow the product label for the specific substrate.

Mask off areas you do not want coated, and make a small test application when the item is unfamiliar, plastic, metal, or already painted. Good prep helps the color and finish perform more consistently.

MyPerfectColor offers custom spray paint matched to ICI Inchworm which enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish. It is difficult to gauge spray paint coverage because it depends on how you apply it and the amount of overspray, but generally the 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat.

MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. This paint sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

While MyPerfectColor can provide paint matched to the ICI Inchworm, we don't provide any crossover information because this is a subjective determination. Every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, so determining which color is the best approximation is a judgement call.

However, under the color image on a color page there is a link that says "Explore Related Colors". Clicking this link displays colors with similar values and you can look for any colors from the company you want.
