Plastics vary widely, so test on the actual plastic before committing to the full project. MyPerfectColor spray paint sticks well to most plastics, but prep and the exact plastic type can change the result.

Using the MyPerfectColor primer can improve adhesion on plastic parts. That matters for items like covers, trim pieces, brackets, or other removable parts where a match of Colonial Red by ICI needs to hold up well.

Coverage depends on the size of the item, surface texture, hiding power, application method, and how many coats you need. A typical can of spray paint covers about 20 square feet with one coat. Other paints typically cover between 400 and 600 square feet.

If you are coating metal parts, PVC, fixtures, or other awkward items, plan for extra material because edges, texture, and additional coats can increase usage for a match of Colonial Red by ICI.

Sheen is a practical ordering choice because it affects durability, reflectivity, cleanup, and how the matched color reads on the finished item. The Colonial Red by ICI color reference does not by itself tell you which sheen to order.

Choose the finish based on the surface you are coating and the look you need to achieve on that item. The same Colonial Red match can look different in matte, satin, or gloss finishes.

Before you order, confirm the brand color reference, the MyPerfectColor product type, the sheen, and the quantity. Colonial Red by ICI is a color reference, and MyPerfectColor is supplying its own custom-matched paint, not the original ICI paint product.

This is especially important because custom-made color matches are not returnable or refundable. Verifying the details first helps avoid ordering the wrong match of Colonial Red by ICI.

MyPerfectColor offers custom spray paint matched to ICI Colonial Red which enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish. It is difficult to gauge spray paint coverage because it depends on how you apply it and the amount of overspray, but generally the 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat.

MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. This paint sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

Every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, so determining which color is the best approximation is a judgement call.
