MyPerfectColor makes a custom match to the selected ICI color reference. That means the order should be based on the original Chiseled Grey standard you want matched, not on how the color looks on a monitor or on an existing painted surface that may have aged over time.

Choose the sheen based on how the part will be used and how much reflectivity you want. Lower sheens usually hide surface marks better and look less reflective, while higher sheens are easier to wipe clean and can feel more durable on hard-wearing parts.

Keep in mind that sheen changes the way ICI Chiseled Grey reads on the finished item. The same color can look slightly different in flat, satin, semi-gloss, or gloss because light reflects differently from each finish.

For a smoother result, apply MyPerfectColor Chiseled Grey in light, even coats rather than one heavy pass. Hold the can at a consistent distance, overlap each pass slightly, and keep the spray moving so the coating builds uniformly.

Heavy application can cause runs, uneven sheen, or color build that looks muddy on the finished item. Several controlled coats are usually better than trying to cover everything at once.

Plastics vary widely, so it is smart to test on the actual part before painting a finished item in Chiseled Grey. MyPerfectColor spray paint sticks well to most plastics, but adhesion can depend on the exact plastic and how smooth or low-energy the surface is.

For better adhesion, use the MyPerfectColor primer before applying the Chiseled Grey topcoat. That extra prep step can help reduce adhesion problems on difficult plastic surfaces and gives you a better chance of a consistent result.

MyPerfectColor offers custom spray paint matched to ICI Chiseled Grey which enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish. It is difficult to gauge spray paint coverage because it depends on how you apply it and the amount of overspray, but generally the 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat.
