Primer may be needed depending on the substrate, the condition of the surface, and the paint type you are using. As a general rule, primer never hurts and can improve adhesion, but it is not always required.

For bare, glossy, damaged, or difficult surfaces, primer is often the safer choice. Check the prep guidance for the specific MyPerfectColor product you order for 20-1 Ancestral so you know whether the surface needs priming first.

Not always. Even when the match is correct, lighting, placement, sheen, nearby surfaces, and the texture of the substrate can change how 20-1 Ancestral reads after it is applied.
