MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to SW7602 Indigo Blue is a dark, muted blue with a cool undertone and a slight gray cast. The low LRV gives it a deep, subdued presence rather than a bright or vivid blue look.
This match is useful on spray-paintable parts where a dark blue finish is needed on a smaller surface: HVAC vents, speaker grilles, switch plates, brackets, shelf supports, railings, mailboxes, shutters, and hardware. It can also be used on PVC, frames, baskets, and furniture accents when a consistent color is needed on removable or hard-to-brush items.
Because the color is dark and fairly subdued, surface prep and sheen consistency matter. Scratches, sanding marks, dust, and patchy primer can show through more readily in a deep color, and the final appearance can shift with substrate texture and gloss level. On light or uneven bases, uniform coverage and film build help the color read evenly.

Confirm Sherwin Williams SW7602 Indigo Blue from a physical swatch, an existing known color reference, or another reliable brand reference before you order. Screen images can shift with monitor settings, lighting, and camera differences.
MyPerfectColor makes a custom match to the selected brand color reference, so the order should be based on the exact target color you want, not on how it looks on a screen or on an aged painted surface.
Choose the finish based on how the item will be used and cleaned, not just on the color name. For Sherwin Williams SW7602 Indigo Blue, a glossier finish usually reflects more light and is easier to wipe clean, while a flatter finish reduces reflectivity but may be less forgiving on wear.
Keep in mind that sheen can change how the matched color reads on the finished item. The same match of SW7602 Indigo Blue can look a little different in matte, satin, or gloss because the surface reflects light differently.
For metal or an existing coating, the surface should be clean, dry, and free of oil, wax, dust, rust, and loose material before applying Sherwin Williams SW7602 Indigo Blue. If the old coating is glossy and still sound, scuffing it can help the new coating grip better.
The condition of the old surface matters. Peeling paint, rust, chalking, contamination, texture, and sheen differences can all change how the finished match looks and performs, so damaged areas should be repaired or removed before you paint.
For Sherwin Williams SW7602 Indigo Blue in spray paint form, dry-to-touch time is usually within minutes, recoating is typically in 1 to 2 hours, and full cure takes about 2 weeks.
Dry to touch, recoat, and fully cured are different stages. If you need to handle the part, stack it, or put it into service, plan around the full cure time rather than the initial dry-to-touch time.
After Sherwin Williams SW7602 Indigo Blue is applied, lighting, placement, sheen, and nearby surfaces can all change how the color reads. A match that is correct to the selected reference can still appear different once it is on a curved part, a textured surface, or an item viewed in different lighting.
If the finished piece will sit next to other painted surfaces, or if it will be seen in more than one light source, check the result in those conditions before ordering additional material.
