Mask off areas you do not want coated, and test the finish on the actual surface before doing the full part. That is especially useful for items like PVC pipe, vents, hardware, railings, or fixtures, because the substrate can change how a match of SW6830 Kismet looks after it dries.

Sheen also changes how SW6830 Kismet reads on the part. The same color can look a little different in matte, satin, semi-gloss, or gloss, so pick the finish that fits the application rather than the color name alone.

Coverage depends on the size of the item, surface texture, hiding power, spray method, and how many coats you need. A typical can of spray paint covers about 20 square feet with one coat. Other paints typically cover between 400 and 600 square feet.

If you are painting something like PVC pipe, vents, trim pieces, brackets, or small fixtures, measure the surface area and plan extra material for multiple coats and any test spraying. Rough or uneven surfaces usually need more paint than a smooth part of the same size.
