Match of Sherwin Williams™ SW6219 Rain *

Before painting metal or an already coated surface with a match of SW6219 Rain, clean off dirt, grease, wax, and other contamination, then remove loose rust, peeling paint, or failing coating. A sound, clean, and lightly scuffed surface usually gives better adhesion than a glossy or dirty one.

If the old coating is badly weathered, rusted, or unstable, repair or prime it first. The condition of the existing surface can change how the finished SW6219 Rain match looks, especially on gloss, texture, and coverage.

Even after you order a match of SW6219 Rain, the finished item can read differently depending on lighting, placement, sheen, and the surfaces around it. The same color can look lighter, darker, cooler, or flatter on different objects or in different locations.

If the part will sit next to an existing painted surface, expect the surrounding finish, aging, and texture to influence how closely the new coating appears to match in real life. A test application on the actual material is the safest way to reduce surprise.

Choose sheen based on how the part will be used, not just the color name. Lower sheens are usually less reflective and can hide minor surface flaws better, while higher sheens are glossier and are often easier to wipe clean.

Keep in mind that the same match of SW6219 Rain will look different at different sheen levels. If the part has to coordinate with an existing finish, try to match the sheen as closely as possible to the surrounding surface.

Confirm SW6219 Rain from a physical swatch, chip, or a known existing color reference from the original brand before you order. Screen colors can shift, so on-screen viewing alone is not a reliable way to choose the target.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
