A match of Para Paints B420-2 Carat reads as a light warm yellow-gold with a soft amber lean. It has clear color presence without looking heavy, and the high lightness keeps it from turning deep or muddy.
MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to the selected brand color can be useful on vents, switch plates, shelf brackets, picture frames, wicker baskets, hardware, and small furniture accents where a warm yellow-gold finish is needed on a spray-friendly part. It can also be used on shutters, mailboxes, railings, speaker grilles, and exterior fixtures when the goal is to coordinate smaller components to a known paint reference.
Because this is a light, moderately vivid color, dark or uneven substrates may show through sooner than they would with a deeper color. A light primer or extra coats can help the color build more evenly, and finish choice can shift how strong the amber cast appears. Glossy finishes may also make surface texture and sheen differences more noticeable.

MyPerfectColor is able match all of the Para paint colors so you can find and enjoy the colors you love. MyPerfectColor uses its expert capabilities to recreate the original Para color by matching the original Para color books and swatches. MyPerfectColor is not using Para paint.
The colors shown on this website are computer video simulations of the Para Color and may not match Para Color standards. Refer to Para Publications to obtain the accurate color. Please know that MyPerfectColor is matching the original Para color. If you intend to touch up paint that has been on your walls for years, know that your color has undoubtedly changed from the original due to exposure to light and age and the new paint may not match. You will achieve best results by re-coating the entire surface.

Choose the sheen based on how the part will be used and how much surface reflection you want. A glossier finish is usually easier to wipe clean and can feel more durable, but it also shows more surface marks and will make B420-2 Carat read differently than a flatter finish. A flatter finish reduces glare and can hide small surface flaws better, but it may be less forgiving to clean. If you are matching an existing painted item, try to match the existing sheen as closely as possible, because sheen changes the way the color appears on the finished piece.
Coverage depends on the surface size, texture, how much the substrate absorbs, the application method, and how many coats you need. A typical can of spray paint covers about 20 square feet with one coat. Other paint formats typically cover between 400 and 600 square feet, but the actual amount can be lower on rough, porous, or heavily textured surfaces. For B420-2 Carat, measure the area, plan for at least one full coat, and allow extra paint if you expect a second coat or if you are covering a dark or uneven surface.
Use several light, even coats instead of one heavy pass. Keep the spray moving, overlap each pass slightly, and avoid holding the can still over edges or corners, since heavy buildup can cause runs, uneven sheen, or a muddy-looking finish. Let each coat dry or flash according to the product directions before adding the next one. For B420-2 Carat, good surface prep and a test spray on a similar piece can help you judge how the match will look on the actual substrate.
Use the Safety Data Sheet for the specific MyPerfectColor product you are ordering, because the SDS is tied to the paint chemistry and format, not the color name alone. MyPerfectColor Safety Data Sheets can be found here: Safety Data Sheets. If you order a different format, check the SDS for that exact product before use.
Confirm B420-2 Carat from a physical swatch or another known original brand color reference, not from a screen image alone. MyPerfectColor makes a custom match to the selected brand color reference, so the target color should be verified before you place the order. If your new piece will sit beside an existing painted surface, remember that age, fading, dirt, and sheen differences can change how the finished match reads in place.
MyPerfectColor has an original sample of the Para Paints B420-2 Carat in its color archive. This enables us to make paint and verify that it matches the original.
Please note that if your material is not new then the paint may not work for touch up as your material has aged and is likely different than it was when new. While MyPerfectColor can provide paint matched to the Para Paints B420-2 Carat, we don't provide any crossover information because this is a subjective determination. Every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, so determining which color is the best approximation is a judgement call.
However, under the color image on a color page there is a link that says "Explore Related Colors". Clicking this link displays colors with similar values and you can look for any colors from the company you want.
Keep in mind that this just shows similar colors based on the color values we have stored in our database. It doesn't mean it is the same or give any approximation about how close the color is. You can play around with the Hue, Lightness and Chroma sliders to expand the selection.
