A match of Dulux Ultramarine is a deep, cool blue with a clear violet bias and moderate saturation. The low LRV gives it a dark, dense appearance, so it reads more like a strong blue-violet than a light or softened blue.
MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to the selected brand color is well suited to smaller parts and assemblies where a consistent blue-violet finish matters. Common uses include vents, switch plates, speaker grilles, shelf brackets, railings, mailbox parts, shutter hardware, frames, knobs, and other removable fixtures or accessories that can be sprayed evenly after proper prep.
Because this is a darker, moderately saturated color, surface condition and finish can affect the final read. Smooth substrates usually give a cleaner appearance, while rough plastic, old coating edges, sanding marks, and uneven film build can become more noticeable, especially in satin or gloss. Coverage is often straightforward on properly prepared parts, but the sheen and the underlying surface can still change the perceived depth of the blue.

Coverage depends on the size and texture of the item, the hiding power you need, the application method, and how many coats are required. A typical can of spray paint covers about 20 square feet with one coat, while many other paint formats cover about 400 to 600 square feet. If you are painting trim pieces, vents, pipe, hardware, or other small parts in Dulux 1301 Ultramarine, estimate by the total surface area and plan for extra paint if the surface is rough or the color underneath is dark or uneven.
Plastic can be a good candidate, but plastics vary a lot, so test on the actual material before committing to the full project. MyPerfectColor spray paint sticks well to most plastics, and using the MyPerfectColor primer can improve adhesion on difficult surfaces. For items like vents, covers, brackets, or trim parts, proper prep matters because surface differences can affect how the Dulux 1301 Ultramarine match bonds and looks after it dries.
Confirm the brand color reference, the MyPerfectColor product type, the sheen, and the quantity before you order. MyPerfectColor makes its own paint matched to Dulux 1301 Ultramarine, not the original Dulux product, and custom-made color matches are not returnable or refundable. Checking those details first helps avoid ordering the wrong format for your project.
Finish changes how much light the coating reflects, so the same Dulux 1301 Ultramarine match can read differently once it is on the item. A glossier finish usually looks more reflective, while a flatter finish looks less shiny. Surface texture, film build, and the substrate underneath can also change the way the matched color appears after application.
Choose the sheen based on how the part will be used and how much reflectivity you want on the finished item. Higher gloss levels are usually easier to wipe clean and more reflective, while lower gloss levels reduce shine and can make the Dulux 1301 Ultramarine match look less reflective. If the item will be handled often, cleaned regularly, or installed in a visible location, confirm the sheen before ordering because gloss level changes both appearance and day-to-day performance.
MyPerfectColor has an original sample of the Dulux Ultramarine in its color archive. This enables us to make paint and verify that it matches the original.
Please note that if your material is not new then the paint may not work for touch up as your material has aged and is likely different than it was when new. While MyPerfectColor can provide paint matched to the Dulux Ultramarine, we don't provide any crossover information because this is a subjective determination. Every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, so determining which color is the best approximation is a judgement call.
However, under the color image on a color page there is a link that says "Explore Related Colors". Clicking this link displays colors with similar values and you can look for any colors from the company you want.
Keep in mind that this just shows similar colors based on the color values we have stored in our database. It doesn't mean it is the same or give any approximation about how close the color is. You can play around with the Hue, Lightness and Chroma sliders to expand the selection.
