In 1999, Juliana® Bicycles created “The Juliana”, the first mountain bike designed for female riders. It was a massive shift from an industry that in the 80's and 90's was filled with bikes designed for, and marketed to, men. This shift was driven by a groundbreaking woman - Juli Furtado - who is one of the fiercest mountain bikers of all time, and other bold females who were pioneering the sport for women. Inspired by this movement, Juliana Bicycles was born and continues to ignite the imagination of female adventurers around the world.
