Matching Rare and Collectible Paint Colors

The range of colors available in today’s world seems almost limitless, but you’d be hard-pressed in trying to find that every individual achieves that exact color they are looking for easily. Some colors are incredibly difficult to match, especially when it comes to paint, however, MyPerfectColor specializes in matching colors that are practically unheard of nowadays and even registering new paint colors that suit what customers are looking for. For an example of where we produced a match of a color that was near impossible to do so with, check out this customer success story!

Our team has put in the time and effort necessary to create an array of paint matches that can suit almost any individual’s varying color needs, and those rare, discontinued colors from paint lines such as Testor Corporation’s Floquil model railroad paint colors or the US Army-Navy Aeronautical Bulletin (ANA) paint colors, are no exceptions! The category of paint matches available to MyPerfectColor’s customers is growing, and the quality of the colors offered is always improving, moving closer to the original authenticity of these long-forgotten and fading assortments of paint/color cards.

It is important to understand that matching these colors can be difficult, and it is often trial and error when attempting to bring these old and distinct palettes of varying tones to life and into a new light. That said, the quality of finished paint matches is of very high importance to us. Colors and/or matches are not mass-produced unless quality is guaranteed on our part. To put it in simple terms, MyPerfectColor will add matches of these iconic colors when they have been matched as closely as possible, and improve them when possible, and also as frequently as possible.

Authentic Collectible Paint Colors

The team provides many options from authentic military colors to authentic hobbyist colors, both falling under a category of paints that are generally considered extremely rare or hard to find, and we offer matches of these paints that are practically identical in their looks/coloration. With MyPerfectColor’s color matching services, customers looking to get their hands on these colors can do so without having to spend a fortune on the hard to find originals due to their rarity, while also achieving that authentic look for their personal projects that is typically desired.

FAQs about Authentic Collectibles Colors

What is the difference between Floquil™ and Lionel Trains™ paint colors?
The only real difference (as both paints consisted of the same or similar material) is Floquil being no more than a line of paint produced by Testor Corporation to go along with their model railroads and trains. This differs from Lionel Trains (formerly Lionel Corporation), who produced their paints and trains alongside one another under the same title. Lionel Trains still produces model trains and railroads, as well as many of the paints closely related to each set, which is in contrast with Floquil paints, as they were discontinued in 2013. As such, Floquil paint matches are more difficult to achieve because of their absence, but MyPerfectColor offers a large selection of paints from both Lionel Trains and Floquil assortments regardless through consistent color matching efforts.
Can you make any Collectible Color in paint?
MyPerfectColor can reproduce a vast array of colors, including very difficult to match rare colors. MyPerfectColor has color matches of collections going back to the 1800’s, and with over 250,000 colors (and growing), there are many colors to choose from. As long as MyPerfectColor has a sample in its archive, or if you are able to send a part, then MyPerfectColor should be able to reproduce the color with a high degree of precision. Keep in mind that the color will only be as good as the sample which likely has aged over time despite being carefully stored and protected.
How quickly are Authentic Collectibles Colors made in paint and shipped?
All paint is custom made per the order, which can determine when your product will be shipped alongside other aspects of the order, such as unit amount or just general complexity. Most orders ship within the frame of 2-3 days, and 70% of orders ship in the first 48 hours. We provide an Expedited Production option if you need guaranteed shipment within 1 business day.
