Beach Blue

I have been trying for quite a while to match a color that exists only in my memory and several photos taken while on vacation. I have tried everything from utilizing paint store staff to match by eye, to pantone color comparisons, to saving photos to flash drive and professionally printing. All to no avail. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

Hello,
Thanks for your question. I'd be happy to suggest a few colors that feel similar to the photos. Because monitors vary, I'm matching it to the photos as I see them (but I am using actual paint fan decks to see the colors I'm suggesting.)

As the color appears, it's a blue with a violet undertone (very slight.) You may find the right look once you're able to actually sample colors on the wall or exterior, because paint colors can look different based on the available light, location, and other factors.

Here are the colors that come to mind:

Benjamin Moore Blue Lapis 2067-40 http://www.myperfectcolor.com/en/color/3566_Benjamin-Moore-2067-40-Blue-Lapis

Benjamin Moore Brazilian Blue 817 http://www.myperfectcolor.com/en/color/5754_Benjamin-Moore-817-Brazilian-Blue

Match of Martha Stewart Bluebird MSL158 http://www.myperfectcolor.com/en/color/316887_Martha-Stewart-MSL158-Bluebird

Match of Color Life Smalt CL2284D http://www.myperfectcolor.com/en/color/330549_ColorLife-CL-2284D-Smalt

Remember that these colors may look different on your monitor, so you'll want to consider sampling them. These are the best 'eye matches' I could do with the samples I have available. Hopefully, they will point you in the right direction.

Thank you!
Diana
