Garage and Basement Painting Advice

What type of paint do you recommend for garage walls? What do you recommend for basement walls with paneling and basement floors that might get wet? It's a damp basement. Thank you.

Garage walls can be painted using a regular interior wall paint. I would recommend the Regal Select Matte or Eggshell. You have a choice of any color.

Basement walls with paneling can also be painted with an interior wall paint, ideally in matte such as the Regal Select Matte above, or for a better quality, you can use the Aura Matte:

If the paneling is previously painted then you don't need a primer. If it is raw wood or has been stained, then I would recommend using an alkyd primer first:

If the paneling has been sealed with a polyurethane, then you can use a good adhesive acrylic primer:

If the floor is damp, then you really cannot paint it. No paint will stop moisture on the floor. You need to bring in a waterproofing expert to find/fix the water problem first.
