Accent color needed

My downstairs is painted one color, swblonde. I'm looking for an accent color for my dining room 3/4" up to the ceiling, wall. It faces the front sitting room which is north facing and I live in Alaska!

Thank-you,
Judy

Hi Judy,

SW Blonde creates a lovely, warm and homey atmosphere. With north light (even Alaskan north light) you might as well embrace it for what it is. A north facing room is never going to be bright and and bountiful with natural light.

This is the dining room and combined with the quality of light you have to work with, this is a perfect opportunity for some drama. I'm particularly fond of an Affinity color called Wenge. It coordinates with an endless choice of colorways in textiles and accent piece. Not to mention it looks fabulous with SW Blonde.

Another option is Artifact from SW - I've used it many times with Blonde and Believable Buff -- it works well with the quality of north light as well.

Lastly, if you'd like something a little more punchy, more energy maybe something like SW's Copper Penney.

The good news is Blonde is very flexible -- grab some chips and narrow down your favorite choices. Then buy a few samples and test those colors to see what you think of them in the space. Good luck and thanks for stopping by My Perfect Color forums!

accent color to swblonde

I'm looking for an accent color for my dining room. My main walls are painted swblonde. The accent wall faces north in my dining room with only 2 windows in the dining/front sitting room.

Hi Judy, you have repeat posts. I'll answer the first one. :)
