You can avoid ending up with a pink washed looking finish on your cabinets by sampling the white paint colors. Paint up boards of the colors you are considering and place them in the space so you can see how the cherry wood floors relate to the cabinet color. Start with BenM's Super White - even if that's the "the" white you have in mind. Use the Super White painted sample as a BENCHMARK for comparing other whites that you are interested in using. This will help you detect any pink undertones. Good luck!

Color Theory and Cabinets
We are renovating and would like to select a BM warm lighter cabinet color like Barely Beige or White Sand. Our floors are Cherry wood. What tips do you have in selecting our light painted cabinets so that they do not absorb color from cherry floor and end up looking pink?
