Hi,
Thank you for your question. Your room as you've described it, sounds lovely. I agree that an accent in the right cool color could be a great addition. Because the room already has warm color, my first inclination is to choose a muted cool color, but it really comes down to your own personal taste and vision.
Here are some color ideas to get you started (I'm also including a few blue/greens in the list.)

Benjamin Moore Woodlawn Blue HC-147 http://www.myperfectcolor.com/en/color/5963_Benjamin-Moore-HC-147-Woodlawn-Blue
Benjamin Moore Marlboro Blue HC-153 http://www.myperfectcolor.com/en/color/102891_Benjamin-Moore-HC-153-Marlboro-Blue
Benjamin Moore Harbor Haze 2136-60 http://www.myperfectcolor.com/en/color/4036_Benjamin-Moore-2136-60-Harbor-Haze
I hope this is helpful,

color for cedar chest
My bedroom walls are painted Rustic Rouge (Ace) with white trim on windows. Window shades are Goldust (JC Penney Savannah Roman Shades). I am looking for a cool accent color for an old cedar chest. Furniture is dark wood, floors dark. I am thinking blues....
