Thank you for your question. You will want to sample the colors in your family room before making the final decision, but the plan you've mentioned could work well in there. I think the accent wall color has enough depth to keep it from making the shelves look shallow. Once you've sampled the colors you can make any adjustments, but you've chosen gorgeous colors.

Hi,
I am planning to paint simmer harvest on three walls (cc190) and spiced rum one accent wall in my familyroom. The current brick fireplace will be replaced with dry wall and marble stones around fireplace and there will be shelves build on each side of the fire place ( (white ). TV will be placed on top of the fireplace. Is the dark accent wall a good idea. Will it make the shelves look shallow. The TV is black and I am not sure whether this is a good idea. I have dark brown leather sofas in the room. I need an answer before DEc 10th-2013. Thanks.
