Persian RED

I have on gallon of this that was mixed and may need more, but why does it look so pink in the bucket?? It looks more Magenta then red. Will they color darken as it drys ??

Hi,

Many deep red colors do appear to have a pink glow to them when wet, and like most paints, they dry darker. Dark red paints in particular can often need a few coats to achieve their true color. Painters often use a gray primer under dark red paints, to get a more even color and use less coats, so you might consider looking into that before painting.

I would suggest painting a small area to test the color on your wall, before committing to it, to be sure it's the right color for you. Or you can also use a sample board instead of painting directly on the wall. Be sure to use a few coats on your sample, to get the most accurate sample.

Hope this helps,

Diana
