color adviceith: cool paint to go w/ warm earthy furniture

I have brown couches with under tones of green. Tables are dark wood with tile tops that are a mix of earthy tones. currently walls are BM golden retriever. I need a bright fresh change. Was considering a shade of blue or maybe taupe? its a small room so I want to stay on the lighter side.

Hi,

I think that a cooler wall color with your earthy tones would be refreshing. I'm happy to suggest some blue colors, and a few neutrals that could cool down the colors in your room.

Thank for the suggestions. I realized I don't like how the blue/gray colors are against the couch. I have a sample of BM smokey taupe up now...but think it might be too light. The living room color will also be used on the top half of the dining room. The dining room has BM providence blue on the bottom half of chair rail. The den is painted BM beach glass. You can see from one room into the other so I am trying to pick a color that compliments the providence blue as well as flows with the BM beach glass (and looks good against a brown couch with green/tan undertones). suggestions???

Hi,
Thank you for the additional details. I think that you had great instincts with the Benjamin Moore Smokey Taupe. Though the particular color feels too light, I would suggest a similar look to coordinate with your existing colors. Working with the cool and muted blue and green of your existing colors, warm neutrals (but without yellow undertones,) is a great place to look.

Here are some additional suggestions for you. With your additional description, these colors may be harmonious with your existing scheme:
