Hi,
The best suggestion for a taupe is Fairview Taupe a Benjamin Moore color. The down side the color is dark. There is an option to order a sample fifty percent lighter than the true shade and still get the color.

Taupe paint color for walls
Please advise suggestions for taupe paint color for dining room walls. The room does not have a lot of natural light. Shutters are on windows and even when open, the room is not very bright. Chairs are restoration hardware Belgian linen with pecan tone wood table and dark stained hardwood floors.
