Paint Calculator

This paint calculator will help you estimate the amount of paint needed to paint a room, per coat. For example, if the calculator indicates you need 2 gallons, then you will need to order 4 gallons for two coats. Contact [email protected] or 973-863-2639 for painting project assistance.

These are some common rules of thumb:

  • 1 Gallon of wall paint typically covers 400 square feet in one coat (or all 4 walls in a standard 12' x 12' room)
  • 1 Quart will cover about 100 square feet (or a 10' x 10' area)
  • 4 Quarts are in 1 Gallon; 2 Pints are in 1 quart; 4 sample jars are in 1 Pint
