It is important to adhere to these guidelines. Otherwise the can will overfill and the integrity of the paint will be compromised.

The maximum shot totals above would be the total across all colorants

Normally colors involve no more than 3 or 4 colorants. You can add more, but usually it is not necessary and can create problems with metamorism which means the dolors will look dramatically different under different lighting conditions.

Each shot equates to 1/32 of an ounce
so "1" equals  1/32 of an ounce and 32 equates to a full ounce.

Color formulas often use the convention 1x12, which means 1 full ounce and 12/32 of an ounce.

Also, the smallest increment you can enter is .0625 (this would be 1/16 of 1/32 of an ounce).

The Aura colorants can only be used in Aura paint and the non-Aura colorants can only be used in non-Aura paint.
