FOR EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR USE
USE
A quick drying, high gloss enamel providing outstanding rust inhabitation and protection with excellent color retention and weather resistance. IMPERVEX Latex High Gloss Metal and Wood Enamel is suitable for both exterior and interior and metal and wood surfaces. Washes easily and produces no unpleasant odor during application. Recommended for use on surfaces such as steel, wrought iron, aluminum, galvanized metal, furniture; cabinets; trim, walls, and ceilings; doors, shutters, and railings. Do not use on floors or exterior siding. Bases are for tinting with BENJAMIN MOORE COLOR PREVIEW colorants.
COVERAGE
400-500 sq. ft. (37.1-46.4 sq. meters) per gallon over smooth surfaces. Be sure to estimate the right amount of paint for the job. This will ensure color uniformity and minimize the disposal of excess paint.
SURFACE PREPERATION
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of water soluble materials, grease, and wax, scaling paint, rust and mildew. Glossy areas must be dulled by abrading the surface. Protected exterior areas such as eaves, ceilings and overhangs should be washed with detergent solution and rinsed with strong stream o water from a garden hose to remove surface salts that can interfere with proper adhesion.
WARNING! If you scrape sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH- approved respirator to control lead exposure. Carefully clean up with a HEPA vacuum and wet mop. PRIMERS
BENJAMIN MORE primers should be tinted to approximate shade of finish paint. Metal Surfaces: (Rust Free): Remove greasy contaminants with mineral spirits; prime with IRONCLAD Latex Low Lustre Metal and Wood Enamel
(Rusted): Remove loose, scaling rust and thoroughly clean surface; prime with IRONCLAD Latex Low Lustre Metal and Wood Enamel. Galvanized Metal: New-Wipe with mineral spirits to remove fabricating oils, then prime with IRONCLAD Latex Low Lustre Metal and Wood Enamel. Old or previously painted-Remove scaling rust, loose paint and chalk, then spot-prime with IRONCLAD Latex Low Lustre Metal and Wood Enamel. Aluminum: New- Wipe with mineral spirits. Weathered-Clean by sanding and wiping with mineral spirits. Prime with IRONCLAD Latex Low Lustre Metal and Wood Enamel. All Metal Surfaces: Finish coat all metal with 1 or 2 coats IMPERVEX Latex High Gloss Metal and Wood Enamel. New Wood: Prime interior and exterior surfaces with IRONCLAD Latex Low Lustre Metal and Wood Enamel. Finish with 1 or 2 coats of IMPERVEX Latex High Gloss Metal and Wood Enamel. New Wallboard or Plaster: Prime with REGAL FIRSTCOAT. Finish with 1 or 2 coats IMPERVEX Latex High Gloss Metal and Wood Enamel. Previously Painted Wood, Wallboard, or Plaster. Fill all nail holes, cracks, and crevices with appropriate filter. Spot-prime with IMPERVEX Latex High Gloss Metal and Wood Enamel, then apply overall coat.

APPLICATION
Stir before use. Apply by synthetic bristly brush, short nap roller, or spray. Thinning is unnecessary, but if required to obtain desired application properties, a small amount of clean water may be added. Never add other paints or solvents. Do not apply when air surface temperatures are neither below 50 degrees F (10 degrees C)
DRYING
2-4 hours to touch; can be recoated in 12 hours. High humidity may prolong drying time.
CLEAN UP
Wash brushes, rollers, spray guns and other painting tools in warm water promptly after painting. Rinse pray equipment after cleaning with mineral spirits to prevent rusting. USE COMPLETELY OR DISPOSE OR PROPERLY. Dry, empty containers may be recycled in a can recycling program. Local disposing requirements vary; consult you sanitation department or state-designated environmental agency on disposal options.
