Baths and Spas require a special kind of paint. Wet environments like bathrooms and spas place extra demands on paint and need extra durability, more mildew resistance, more washability and resistance to surfactant leaching.
If you have bathroom with a shower, more than likely you've noticed drip marks on the wall that just doesn't come off. This is due to two things: first, the water itself has minerals in it that remain on the surface once the water evaporates. And second, the water leaches surfactants from the paint film. These surfactants come from the universal colorants that paint companies use to tint colors. The Benjamin Moore Aura Bath and Spa paint uses revolutionary new paint technology that doesn't rely on surfactants and therefore won't create these drip marks. Moreover, this new paint is extra washable and durable and therefore will improve your ability to remove any mineral deposit build up from your walls. It is also super mildew resistant.

Aura Eggshell Finish is part of the Gennex Proprietary paint and colorant system. Tint bases only with Gennex Waterborne Colorant.
USE
Recommended for new or previously painted wallboard, plaster, wood, masonry or wallpapered surfaces; primer or previously painted metal; new or coated acoustic ceilings. Provides a mildew resistant coating.
COVERAGE
400-450 square feet per gallon (37.1 � 41.8 square meters), depending on the porosity and texture of the substrate.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry and free of wax, grease, scaling paint and mildew. Glossy areas should be dulled. Remove wall covering if there is evidence of bleeding colors.
PRIMING
Aura Eggshell Finish is self-priming for most colors and surfaces. Consult with your retailer (myperfectcolor.com) concerning deep colors that require use of Aura Color Foundation. Special purpose primers may be needed for specific surfaces or surfaces that are water stained, smoke damaged or very slick.

APPLICATION
Stir thoroughly before use. Do not thin with water. Never add other paints or solvents. For best results, use the Benjamin Moore Premium 3/8-inch Micro-fiber Applicator. Apply generously from unpainted area into wet area. This product can also be applied by brush or spray. Do not apply when air and surface temperatures are below 50-degrees Fahrenheit. DRYING
Dries to touch and can be recoated after one hour. High humidity may prolong drying time. Painted surfaces can be washed after a minimum of 2 weeks.
CLEAN UP
Promptly use soap and warm water. USE COMPLETELY OR DISPOSE OF PROPERLY. Dry, empty containers may be recycled in a can recycling program. Local disposal requirements vary; consult your sanitation department or state-designated environmental agency on disposal options.
